A DAY IN L.A. x WELLY MERCK COLLAB
Happy Friday! This post was to be released April of this year...wow have things changed! I spent four days in L.A with my friends and we had an amazing time. What I enjoyed the most was spectating at all of the LA fashion. It was interesting to see how people dressed in different parts of LA and how understated and casual most people were that I sort of felt out of place with my slightly EXTRA outfits lol. Earlier this year I had a collab with Welly Merck, an incredible watch company based in Switzerland. Getting that swag now...what, what!?! I was pleasantly surprised at how flawless their designs are and till this day I wear their watches every day...I do it all day! (I hope you catch that New Girl reference.) Seriously though, check them out...you WILL NOT be disappointed.

TRENDING: GINGHAM, FRINGE + SIDE SLITS
Hey lovelies!
Lately, I've been inspired by pattern mixing and bold colors. I think you may have noticed that I typically wear monochromatic colors, but this season I'm going FEARLESS, baby! During this photo shoot, I joked with my friend Billencia about just grabbing pieces from Goodwill and putting them together for a bold, fashion forward take on my wardrobe. I was joking, but now I'm itching for a thrift trip! Get me a dose of that Goodwill, please.
Ever since gingham became a thing, I was dying to figure out how to wear it! I love how I paired this top with these attention grabbing pants. None of these pieces match, but they seem to go well together. I think I like to throw random things together to create a fashion forward-city chic-look. I wasn't sure about the look at first, but it only took a little confidence for it to put itself together. Let me know what you guys think in the comments!
I can't believe it's been since November that I last posted on here. I was thinking of retiring my blog and focusing on Instagram, but these pics were too good not to post all at once...so here's another post. I will be soooo honest with you...I DO NOT shop expensive pieces...ever! I wish I could but it just seems so hard to drop heavy money on clothing. Most of my clothing does come from thrifting and shopping clearance sales, so I can't provide you with specific links. Instead, I will link some similar pieces for your shopping experience! I look forward to posting more on here, I do have some cool things coming up and I can't wait to show you :)
Fashionably,
Jenessy
P.S. All these items are under $30 and also on sale!

TRENDING: COOL FRAMES MAKE COOL GIRLS
Believe it or not...we weren't always this fabulous.
LOL. I can't with that first line! It's amazing how an appearance can have you thinking all kinds of things about a person. I seriously wish I could look this fabulous every day, but I have a humbling job and if I sat down in my client's homes looking like this...they would tell me NOTHING. My typical day consists of juggling mommy responsibilities in between seeing client's as a family advocate. If I woke up one morning and put this outfit on, it would be drenched in oatmeal and juice by 9 am...I guarantee it! My gorgeous friend Billencia right next to me is a nurse and she's amazing for working long hours overnight tending to people's every need. I find it hilarious looking at these photos and thinking that we look like full-time stylists. Hey, maybe one day! In the meantime, you can catch me walking out of my apartment with my shirt on backwards. I just have to remind myself that I'd be lost without my beautiful chaos :)
Guys, this photo shoot was so much fun! My bestie came into town from Nola and I had to get her to join me in some pictures. She's seriously drop dead gorgeous! I love how effortless and comfortable both of these outfits are. Something I have yet to get used to is being uncomfortable in my clothes. If I'm going to wear something, I have to be able to live in it. Most of the time, I don't change into pajamas until I'm just about to go to bed...yep, that's part of that "beautiful chaos." Those blue pants that Billencia is wearing are "double take" worthy! You know you have a zillion tops to wear with them. The possibilities are endless! What I love most about my outfit are the frames and the pajama top. As cute as these glasses are, they are prescription! I can't stress enough that if you're blind like me, you need to get on EYEBUYDIRECT.COM and order some glasses. They are soooooo worth it. They're low cost and the quality is amazing every single time. Below are the outfit details so you can get to shop-shop-shopping! I would love to hear from you what your favorite detail is about these outfits :)

TRENDING// STRAW BAGS + FRINGE JEANS
Part of me keeps wondering how this straw bag trend came about? Like how did I blink and everyone fashion savvy started rocking the straw bags? And how did people genuinely like it?!?! I'm starting to feel like I haven't really dipped my feet into the fashion pool, but that's okay because in a world where straw bags are the equivalent to aviators, well I haven't seen anything yet! To make things a little more dramatic, why not pair that straw bag with some fringe jeans, you sexy stylish farmer!
[This is where I go into my usual rant, so either enjoy the pictures or keep on reading!]
I'm going to keep it pretty honest with you like I usually do, but I've been spending the last few months thinking about how to define my style. It's been fun wearing things that I would normally stay away from. After obsessing over other peoples style, I've come to the realization that there are NO RULES in fashion. My favorite looks are the ones that are so mismatched that they trick you into liking them. I still consider myself a novice in this area and man have I been struggling! And when I say struggling...I mean being human. I keep comparing my style to others trying to determine if I'm doing something right or if I'm doing it wrong. Where I used to play it safe out of lack of inspiration, I find myself playing it safe out of fear from being rejected by other fashion spectators. I realize this is a problem and I'm working to fix it, because lord I don't need to question every article of clothing that goes on my body. I feel like I'm lost in a sea of clothing and I'm eternally doomed to never know what to wear. Bare with me as I try to find my groove back! I'm working this week on de-cluttering my closet and MIND. I am literally stressing myself out for no reason. I want you to know that you're not alone...we all drive ourselves crazy. NEITHER of us is perfect and that's okay.
If you're feeling the pressure you're giving yourself, then please take this week with me and let's start that positive self-love journey all over again. If you don't mind sharing, please leave me a comment on what you do to de-stress!

4 DRAMATIC SPRING TRENDS UNDER 40
Hello lovely!
Today, I am bringing you affordable, chic, and trendy pieces for this season. Everything on my list of must haves is under $40! After going over the top designer runway shows, I have found the trends I know you will be obsessed with as soon as you see on someone else. But you don't have to wait till someone else is rocking these threads, because you were here first! I want you to know that these sites are style blogger approved and I found them through my favorite bloggers on Instagram. These are the sites they personally shop and I'm bringing them to you. You don't have to go broke to look fab!
This look is seriously making me ask myself, "Why wouldn't you want everyone to see you coming from a mile away?!" I know that to some this top may be a little much, but honey you have to remember...If you're gonna live with meaning, GO ALL OUT! I mean we can only play it safe for so long.
Yassss!! More ways to tell em' that you don't give a QUACK! You can opt for a dramatic raw hem jean like the left one or you can choose an easy to wear option. I am obsessed with this denim trend because I live in jeans. That's literally all I wear, so the more ways to funk them up, the better! Speaking of jeans, Mary (top left) is the JEAN QUEEN on Instagram, always wearing the chicest styles but on a budget. Check her out!
I have to be honest with you...I'm not much for pink, which makes this soft rosy color a perfect option for me. I can add a little femininity into my typical black/white mix without feeling like I have dived into Lisa Vanderpump's closet. Although, I would be more than willing to trade shoe collections with her!
RUNWAY: KENZO SPRING 2017 FASHION SHOW
Bring out your metals! I think most of us are accustomed to tucking our metallic clothing into the deepest holes within our closet until we are ready to take them out into the night life. I'm here to tell you that it's okay to let them see the light this season! An easy to wear tip for this trend is using this material as an accent underneath a light jacket like the photo on the left. I love the subtle yet obvious way that Jennifer (top right) wore this Free People top.
The trends this season are full of drama everywhere! Off-the-shoulder, dramatic sleeves, cool silhouettes, frayed hems. Don't be afraid to go for it because we only have this moment in time. Yes, while ten years from now, you might actually look at your pictures and curse these jeans, right now it might make you happy to wear them on repeat and you are meant to be happy. YOU ARE MEANT TO BE HAPPY. BE HAPPY.
Thanks for stopping by :) You make me happy!

SIMPLE SPRING STREET STYLE
TOP: OLD NAVY; JEANS: EXPRESS; SHOES: SHOEDAZZLE; PURSE: MARC JACOBS (SIMILAR HERE--UNDER 20); GLASSES: EYEBUYDIRECT
I'm in the middle of this style transition and this is the very first look to ease into the color stage. Yes, I'm treating my "monotonism" like a hairstylist treats hair color, but like I always say, "Life is short. Do what you want!" (There used to be a saying for this guys...remember YOLO? It still stands even if it's awkward to throw into conversation now. You're welcome. Now you'll be fighting the urge to shout YOLO at your friends. Muahahahaa.)
My favorite thing about this look has got to be these shoes that I found on sale at Shoedazzle! If you're like me and make it a priority to save money when shopping, then you NEED to check them out now! I bought these for under $20 and they look pretty expensive walking down the street. I am a killer for expensive looking stuff but spending almost nothing...It's kind of an addiction really.
I have listed these outfit details for your shopping convenience under the first pic. Before you get to it, please don't forget that the most important changes happen on the inside first! Now, get to it babe!
Comment below the style changes you are undergoing this Spring...I'm super curious!
